Experimenting with Affiliates

For David Giacometti, the CIO of Renue by Science, venturing into affiliate marketing was an uncharted path. “Nobody had any experience with it. I hadn’t had any experience with it,” David shared. Despite the uncertainty, the potential return on investment was too compelling to ignore so the team decided to dive in and learn as they went.

The onboarding process included integrating with WooCommerce (and later Shopify Plus), setting up their tracking, and configuring payment processes. As David recalled, “It took several weeks, but with Refersion’s support, we got everything up and running.”

The team then focused on recruiting affiliates, starting with a page on their website outlining the advantages of their program and a clear application process, and let their website sell the program. This low-barrier entry attracted customers eager to share their favorite products. 

For those who actively promoted the brand, Renue by Science used Refersion’s tools to monitor performance and pay commissions promptly. They created spreadsheets to track top performers and ensured their best affiliates received the attention they deserved.
